Steps simplified for issuing Residential Certificates in Kerala

In the light of petitions received in mass contact programme of Kerala Chief Minister Sri.Oomman Chandy, Government have simplified and issued new guidelines for issuance of Residential Certificate by the Municipalities/Corporations/Panchayats.  Now those who are staying in the unauthorised buildings having less than 100 sq.m will get temporary residential certificates from the LSGIs (Local Self Government Institutions) for applying for ration card, water connection, election ID Card, electricity connection etc. Moreover, those who are staying in the huts/building constructed in the Purambokes/Govt. land will also get temporary residential certificates from LSGIs.
