Kerala Panchayat Building Rules introduced

Kerala Government introduced Building Rule for the Village Panchayat's with effect from 14.2.2011 vide G.O.(MS) No.41/11/LSGD Dated , Thiruvananthapuram 14/02/2011. By introducing of new Rules, now the KMBR will remain valid for Municipalities and Corporations. The full text of Kerala Panchayat Building Rules 2011 is available here for download.

The new rules have been categorised according to the character of the panchayats. Separate building rules for panchayats have become necessary since the areas under Municipalities and Panchayats differ in character. Implementing the KMBR paused practical difficulties in the panchayats hence the LDF Government intoruduced new Building Rules.
